The Department of Mathematics of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology organizes a
Workshop on
Geometry and Physics of Spatial Random Systems
July 26 - July 29, 2011
The workshop will be held at The Church House of the Protestant Academy Baden in Bad Herrenalb in the Black Forest near Karlsruhe (Germany).
The conference marks the beginning of a new research group "Geometry and Physics of Spatial Random Systems", funded by the German Science Foundation (DFG). The idea is to emphasize and promote inter-relations between stochastic geometry and physics. The workshop focuses on new trends and developments in stochastic geometry and on conceptual relationships between geometric and physical properties of spatially structured matter, such as granular media and liquid foams.
The Program will start on July 27, 2011 and ends July 29, 2011 after lunch. Date of arrival is July 26.
